Dr Craig Voortman currently is an academic with the Department of Transportation and Supply Chain Management at the Faculty of Management at the University of Johannesburg. Craig has served as Co-head of Department and Campus Head. He has overseen the National Diploma, B Tech, M Tech Logistics and Transport qualifications and has specifically managed programmes with approximately 1000 students: 500 purchasing or supply chain students and about 500 transportation students. The programmes have grown considerably since he became Head of Department from just over 300 students to the current enrollment of over 1000 students. The Department is one of the largest academic logistics department in the world and services 4000 students in total with various curricular and extra-curricular programs.
